PR Ribera del Duero
The largest vineyard surface area in Ribera del Duero
The 520 hectares of vineyard are the largest wine producing area in the Ribera del Duero D.O., comprising several grape varietals: 90% Tempranillo, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Merlot.
The winery’s philosophy is to create quality wines applying quality systems based on the land itself.
The planting of the first part of the vineyards took place in 1989 but the winery itself was not constructed until 1996 when the grape had attained sufficient quality to produce a good wine (our first wine was commercialised in 1997).
In order to achieve a more thorough control the estate is divided into 7 different vineyard sites of various sizes, from 25 to 110 hectares, located in the following terroirs: Hoyo Dornajo, La Mina, Prado del Rey, El Pino, Los Robles, Valdelayegua and Salgüero.
